SFP光模块

SFP光模块产品是出现的比较晚的光模块，但也是当前应用最广泛的光模块产品。

SFP光模块概念

SFP（Small Form-factor Pluggables）很多人都把其理解为GBIC的升级版本。SFP光模块体积比GBIC光模块至少减少一半，可以在相同面板上配置多出一倍以上的端口 数量。由于SFP模块在功能上与GBIC基本一致，因此，也被有些交换机厂商称为小型化GBIC（Mini-GBIC）。

SFP光模块的发展

GBIC与SFF在光模块发展过程中都曾经有过非常非凡的历史，随着网络的快速发展，它们也逐渐被SFP光模块取代。

SFP光模块更是SFF与GBIC光模块的发展，因为SFF与GBIC是1X9光模块之后两个方向发展的产品，都有自己的优点：小型化与热插拔。

SFP 光模块继承了GBIC的热插拔特性，也借鉴了SFF小型化的优势。采用LC头，其体积仅为GBIC模块的1/2到1/3,  极大的增加了网络设备的端口密度，适应了网络迅猛发展的趋势，因此得到了最广范的应用，目前主要的设备厂商，无一例外摒弃的GBIC产品，只采用SFP光 模块产品。由于采用了统一的标准，各厂家的SFP产品可以兼容，SFP产品可作为一种单独的网络设备采购。

虽然目前已经出现了许多更高技术，更新的光模块产品，但SFP光模块依然会继续存在很长时间。在SFP之后，光模块的发展主要是向着更高速率的发展，现在已经出现了10G，40G，100G等光模块。其中SFP+光模块相信会是SFP之后被广泛应用的一代产品。

SFP光模块的选型：
