此款RF光纤收发模块或系统使用于通信及雷达系统。卫星通信中，点到点的天线可以通过此设备将射频信号转为光信号，通过光纤连接至几米到几千米的控制室外。广播信号也可以将RF信号转为光信号通过光纤传输。雷达系统可以通过此方式将雷达天线和信号室进行远距离连接。
